Rebecca D. Nica is an Associate Attorney at Guerra & Associates Law Group. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Houston and her legal studies at The George Washington University Law School. While in law school, Ms. Nica chose to dedicate most of her legal learning to subjects involving international law, human rights law, immigration law, as well as their significant and sometimes disregarded interrelationship.
Her interest in immigration law, in particular, stemmed from her own experience with the American immigration system. Growing up, she had had to watch different family members attempt – and oftentimes struggle – to navigate the many intricacies of the U.S. immigration process by themselves and deal with various immigration issues and concerns, which had given rise to many questions, worries, and fears over the years. As such, from an early age, she realized the importance of having a guiding hand in one’s immigration journey. Now, as an attorney, Ms. Nica hopes to be that guiding hand.
Ms. Nica is an empathic person, who deeply cares about people and understands the value of family unity and the wish for a better life, which is why most of her work at this firm revolves around family-based immigration. Through her work, she strives to bring family members together and help people have a chance at a more secure, comfortable, and prosperous future in the United States.
Ms. Nica is fluent in both spoken and written Romanian. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and her Maltese dog, Themis.
